Anna Cetnarowska

Fascinated by genomics. I believe that Enhpathy provides great opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with students and scientists in the field of genome regulations. In my spare time I love hiking in mountains and running.

My research project

Enhancer networks in the control of lineage determination of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) (WP2)

Anna’s project investigates the mechanisms by which the 3D chromatin structure regulates adipocyte lineage determination and differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells. We have recently shown that differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells is driven by highly connected enhancer communities that appear to be preprogrammed already at the stem cell state (Madsen JGS et al. (2020) Nature Genetics). In her PhD project, Anna will investigate the mechanisms by which these adipocyte enhancer communities are established in the stem cell state and activated during differentiation.
